ESL Book Club

Would you like to practice conversing in English, or to help ESL learners practice?
Join us for a meeting of the English as a Second Language Book Club at Macado’s on July 14th at 6:00 pm! July's book selection is The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba.
This event is aimed at adults. Attendees are responsible for paying for their own food and/or drinks.

Join the Literacy Council of Kingsport in our efforts of providing a safe and welcoming environment for adult speakers of other languages to practice their English language skills by volunteering as an Adult ESL Tutor. Currently, we have ESL students on the waiting list for tutors.

Tutor Orientation & Training:
New Tutor Training is currently scheduled for September 20th 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Registration is required, please email or call to let us know you would like to attend.
